The legend of the Ice People

Inspired by The Legend of the Ice People 

(in Norwegian language Sagaen om Isfolket),
which is a 47-volume story of a family bloodline I read as a teenager. The author of the series is Margit Sandemo. 
The novels are based in historical facts, mostly occurring in Scandinavia, but the fantastic is never far off. 
This picture showes one of the cursed member, Heike Linde, to remind his very, very sad story...

Look into the eyes and then ask yourself this question. Do those eyes reveal the soul of a sentient being, or are they just the beautiful pools of a creature you would never share your home with? Do you think you will meet these eyes in the hereafter?
